If the columns of a table cannot be displayed for security reasons, I get a modal warning dialog over and over again, when I click the '+' sign in front of the table name. Instead of the modal dialog, that needs to be clicked away, either nothing should be done (no subnodes are displayed), or, for instance, a single subnode could be displayed telling the user that the table structure is not accessible. Well, I'm not sure here. Doing nothing is definitely not an option -- the user should be told there was an error if that's the case. Adding a kind of "error retrieving the table structure" is not a bad idea, but it needs to be revised by HIE. Jindro, what do you think? There are cases when it is not possible to retrieve the table structure (security reasons, bug in the JDBC driver, disconnected connection). Instead of displaying a modal dialog box we can just display a single node named "Error retrieving the db structure" or similar, maybe with a context action like "Show cause (details)" which would display the error message from the driver. Anyway, it's an enhancement, not defect.

I guess the screenshot belongs to issue 72701.
Thanks for the hint, you are right, of course. Seems I am still practising with IssueZilla...
You can close the ticket. The issue has been fixed by the new implementation of the rowset display.
