It is regression caused by jarda's commit:

Probably typo (if not please say so and ). It makes feedreader unbuildable in
newest 5.1 build. It actually worked in older (including 5.0) builds since the
check for file existence wasn't probably there during building and since
everything under release is automatically copied it also work in final
distribution. Quite confusing.
I'm going to fix it. (filing in issuezilla since I have to go through reviewers)

Fixed in trunk. Jardo could you review? I'll backport to release50 then.
