Adding a new driver doesn't let you specify which 
url pattern has the driver. Otherwise, drivers 
alredy shipping with NB have this pattern.

As designed, therefore this is enhancement. But could you please explain what
you are trying to do? Are you adding a driver for which NB doesn't know the
database URL pattern? Or is it something else?

BTW I noticed from another issue that you use the jTDS driver. I plan to add
support for this driver for NetBeans 5.0 final.

Yes, I'm adding a Jtds driver.

Shouldn't be better to add an 'URL pattern' field on driver's 'Customize'.

Maybe. The only concern I have is that it might unnecessarily clutter the UI.
NetBeans tries to "just work" instead of giving you many customizing options.
Will have to be discussed with the UI engineers.
