When attempting to start Netbeans 5.0 on a project that I had been working on
yesterday I received the attached error and was unable to successfully open the
program

Deleting the .netbeans\5.0beta folder then restarting NetBeans is a workaround.

Fixed. The IDE should now recover automatically.
