Description ngbrito 2005-10-06 23:20:45 UTC
To check this, create a NetBeans plug-in module project by selecting "File->New
Project->NetBeans Plug-in Modules->Module Project".

If you right-click the project and select "New->File/Folder->NetBeans Module
Development->Action" and then press "Next" to go to the "GUI Registration"
panel. In this panel you will have (right at the top) a combobox named
"Category" (with_category.jpg).

If you right-click the project and select "New->Action" and then press "Next" to
go to the same "GUI Registration" panel. In this panel, which should be the same
as in the previous case, you will notice that the "Category" combobox is missing
(without_category.jpg).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that this panel is suposed to be the same
in both cases.

I forgot to say that I'm using NetBeans IDE 5.0 Beta.

Passing to api support guys.
Comment 5 Tomas Danek 2005-10-17 15:47:16 UTC
yes it should...anyway, cannot reproduce on WinXP, 20051016:(
Comment 6 Martin Krauskopf 2005-10-19 03:22:04 UTC
Please could you try to reproduce with the latest builds. Since there were some
changes in the whole Wizard infrastrucutre (those scrollbars has gone away).
Also regarding to your second screenshot it seems that you are using very low
resolution, 640x480? Is that happend also in _normal_ :) resolutions?
Feel free to reopen (with more details). Thanks.
Comment 7 Martin Krauskopf 2005-10-19 03:26:28 UTC
I see. 800x600 was used. Anyway above comment is still valid.
Comment 8 ngbrito 2005-10-22 23:42:36 UTC
At this time I cannot test it with "normal" resolutions because my "normal"
monitor stoped working and I'm using an old one which only supports 800x600,
until I get the other monitor fixed.
Most probably, you need to be runing at 800x600 (which is probably why the
scrollbars appear) to reproduce it.
Comment 9 ngbrito 2006-01-14 15:25:12 UTC
Since the minimum supported resolution for NetBeans IDE 5.0 is 1024x768 (see
issue #67701) and at this resolution I was also unable to reproduce the problem,
I'm closing it.
