If you install jboss running the jnlp installer from the jboss website it will only install one server (I tried ejb3) so unless you select 'default' you will NOT have a default server. The Add Server wizard will not work.
My mistake: this is a problem only with ejb 30 domain, otherwise it works. Not so important for 5.0.
I installed JBoss 4.0.3 SP1 with the installer, selected EBJ3, and it put the deploy under default. Perhaps JBoss fixed this in SP1? ==Leonard
Leonard, were you able to add this server in netbeans? AFAIK the ejb3 still cannot be added even if it's called "default". Let me know. (BTW, I fixed this in javaee5 branch, I will merge it when I have time.)
