The "go to source" and "browse" buttons in the web.xml property configurator 
fail to locate the source for any classes specified in the file, nor are able 
to show a list of classes when browsing the class tree for assigning of 
servlets, filters, etc.

Caused by having web root not directly in project folder - see project structure
in duplicate issue 57750. Fixed already in trunk (not in 4.1).

I don't think this is duplicate of the issue 57750.
Moreover, the 57750 has already been fixed.
