It seems that bundle files in persitence-tools-support.jar have messages that might be seen by user. First question is - do we have this localized or not ? I do not know how many of the messages in those bundles might be seen by user in current nb 4.1. If so, RE needs information from dev team about where to get the files and other info that can let them add this to the special l10n kits that are being delivered in separate location, just as is happening for appserver plugin and blueprints already. Then, info is also needed about where in nb cvs, the translated persistence and appserver plugin messages should be put back by l10n -- in translatedfiles subdir (and which subdir under that) -- or in some other place in nb cvs ?
I think Rochelle gave you the cvs repo info for this component... Can you confirm you did not receive this? for the location of the files, this is not a decision from engineering I think... Where do you put the localized files for NetBeans? We should use the same locaiton of rthe app server plugin since its structure is like any other netbeans modules, and it is almost ready to be move to open source... Where are the 'translatedfiles' in NetBeans open source?
as to cvs location and other information needed by RE, I'd expect that to come directly from development to RE, since its development that owns the code and l10n.lists and know for sure what is needed; so I don't think its a matter of if there was some information sent to me in an email. As to where to put localized files, etc, RE handles that, and can tell you more. They are the ones who implemented the additional l10n kit for plugin. translatedfiles module is a top level dir off of nb cvs ken.frank@sun.com

I dont think existing ja files should go there - translatedfiles is a place to put back translated files by l10n (if its correct that l10n puts back to the persistence repos and not to nb repos) But if you could send a separate zip of the translated ja files to me, I can send to ja team. I'm sure it will be helpful for l10n to have as a reference. But they also need to localize for zh also.
Ludo and Michal, can you clarify ? does this process, for both as plugin and persistence mean: a. that l10n gets the persistence 10n kits from the other nb build area (promoe) - (thats where i see the plugin kits now) (or will the plugin kit now have also the persistence files also ?) b. that l10n puts back to the translatedfiles cvs ludo mentions below in the closed src and not to the nb cvs ? c. if its to the closedsrc place, and there is one kit for each of plugin and persistence, then both would still go under the translatedfiles/appserv-plugin ? d. if its to the closedsrc location below, do you also have build scripts in place to build the localized ja and zh_CN jars ?
