Description topcat 2005-03-19 21:13:39 UTC
I'm totally new to Java and NetBeans <have prior limited oop experience>;
purpose is to learn java/netbeans.

"A Suitable JVM could not be found. Please run the program again using the
option -is:javahome <JAVA HOME DIR>" During Install.

J2SDK 1.4.1_01 Installed, Console Runs.
However, The following entries are not in the registry
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime
Environment\1.4\JavaHome
or

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.4\JavaHome

I don't know what to put here.

I assume to run the install with the option, I'll need to do so from the
command prompt.

I've installed and configured the latest Java Application Server, it runs and
I have accessed the console.

Thanks, Tom

No problem. Please read Release Notes. At least JDK 1.4.2 is required to run
IDE. => The same is checked in installer.
