Description jielin 2005-02-18 21:50:42 UTC
I had existing dbschema on my local directory. I
like to add to EJB project config dir. There is no
way to do that in IDE. The only way to allow you
to add files is creating new files. The add
existing files feature will simplying user's
development.

This is not just about dbschema, it's about a way to import an
existing file from the disk into any project. Moving to projects.

IMO if you want to add an existing file which already exists on the disk to your
project just go to MainMenu->Window->Favorites look for the file and do a
copy&paste into your project.

Reopening as a doc issue, because most people don't know that they can do this.

Adding UI keyword - can you add someone from HIE to the cc list and ask for that
opinion?
Comment 5 Petr Hrebejk 2005-04-01 09:14:06 UTC
Passing to userguide. Althogh I think they should close it anyway.

Do you mean that the most people don't know that there is favorites tab? Or do
you mean that the people don't know that they can copy paste files?

This feature is addressed in a help topic called "Accessing Files Outside of a
Project". And there are various tips throughout the help that point out the
Favorites window. I'm not sure if there's anything else that Docs can do. Fill
free to re-open if you have any suggestions.
Comment 7 Rochelle Raccah 2005-04-01 17:58:50 UTC
I'm okay with that if it's in the docs already - thanks.
