Description cbrettin 2004-12-14 03:28:24 UTC
Not sure if this actually belongs in this module,
but that is what it looked like at first.

System: FC2, Java 1.5.0, NB4.0RC2 with settings
imported from 4.0beta2.

Symptoms: on shutdown/startup all the
customizations of CVS mountings seem to be lost
(just set to local with no path). Discovered by
accident that simple setting the provile to empty,
then back to CVS was sufficient to "remember" all
settings (and, this is weird, this reset seems to
have fixed persistently)

Probable cause:
Import omitted the configuration files for the CVS
mountings (~/netbeans/4.0/config/VCSMount was
empty, but mounts still there in GUI). VCS system
seems to be able to function without these (I'm
sure I don't want to know), aside from the bug
mentioned. I couldn't test this fix since the
reset trick above seems to have done it (still no
files in VCSMount)

overall, puzzling.

This is a duplicate of issue #52026. As a workaround, please remove
all versioned directories from Versioning Manager and add them again.
That will create the settings files under
~/netbeans/4.0/config/VCSMount and the persistence will be assured.
