The filesystem sidebar in Netbeans on Mac OS X uses quite a large font size, much larger than the titles int the tabs, or anywhere else. The paths to the systems can never be displayed in total, and even some long file names don't fit in the sidebar, even when it is over 200 pixels wide.
IIRC Tim did something special with fonts on Mas OS
Probably what we should actually do is use the standard (larger) Mac- OS font size for all components in NetBeans, rather than tweaking it down to the smaller standard size that matches what we do on other platforms. Of course, this will make the problem in question worse, but starting with -fontsize 11 will fix it.
Fonts on mac os were made self consistent for NetBeans 4.0 - system fonts are used consistently everywhere; I should have closed this issue then.
This issue was solved long time ago. Because nobody has reopened it neither added comments, we are verifying/closing it now. If you are still able to reproduce the problem, please reopen. Thanks in advance.
