Description cjdvis 2004-10-02 18:26:07 UTC
I'm on 64 bit SUSE9.1 Athlon 64. I'm getting so
many stack overflow exceptions I can't use the
product. I found the configuration file and
doubled the memory on the parameters but to no avail.

Reboot of machine overnight appears to have rendered NB4.0beta2 stable.

Tried from cold boot when came home this p.m. Same thing happened.
In a few minutes I was receiving so many exceptions
(StackOverflowException) that work was impossible. Closed NB and
restarted. A few minutes and exceptions were back preventing progress.

Loaded daily build for 10/07/04. The StackOverflow exceptions have
been replaced by org.openide.nodes.FilterNode$StackError exceptions.
Almost as debilitating as the previous StackOverflow exception.
Also getting many, many "Exception occurred in Request Processor"
messages. Don't know if related issues.

This bug is killing me too. I use fedora core 2 on an athlon 64 chip.
Killing and restarting the IDE gives a short reprieve before a
debilitating onslaught of "Unexpected Exception" dialogs paralyzes me.

Daily build 20041008 seems to have fixed this problem. Still getting
OutOfMemoryExceptions very ocassionally. Somebody got to this one.
Thank you very much. Now I can start using NB4!
