Just migrated from 3.6. probably did something 
wrong. This exception occurs when I select a 
method from source code editor's drop down list.

I restarted NB and everything works fine. The message log shows no 
exceptions.

Seems to be a problem in NavigationView.

IMO it relates to issue #50176 where the drop down list was not
refreshed properly. So I consider this as fixed too. Please reopen the
issue if you meet the problem again.
