After using it for a month, netbeans.exe now 
hangs on start up.  The splash screen message 
gets as far as "Opening Main Window ...". In one 
case, a blank window is presented to the 
screen.  In another case, no window is presented.

After re-boot, running nb.exe works as a work-
around.

Which build are you using? Please attach the messages.log file (do 
not paste it's contents into comments field, just create a new 
attachement).

Error occurred on Build 200408191352.

I tried to reproduce the error but now netbeans.exe starts normally.

For what it's worth, I've attached the messages.log files

The only exception in the log is from java module.

The IOE in the log should be fixed some time ago (they were result of
an inconsistency caused by erroneous inner classes handling).
