When you right click on bean palettes and select
'Create new category' the New Palette Category
popup displays with the defaul name of category
highlighted in the input box. 

When you type, nothing happeneds. When you remove
focus (ie go to another application) and return,
what you typed shows up?

This dialog is created from NotifyDescriptor.InputLine
by DialogDisplayer => reassigning to openide for evaluation.

Jan Stola, can you reproduce the error? I can't reproduce here on Win
XP, everything works OK here.

Bryon Abbot, please provide futher details: your OS, window manager,
JDK version, Netbeans build version? Also please try if input dialogs
in standard Swing app (like SwingSet demo) work OK. This bug looks
strange and may be related to JDK version or some OS charasteristics.

No, I also was not able to reproduce the problem on Win XP or on Linux.

No responds on the last question, it's not reproducible, closed as
WORKSFORME.
