Talked with Dafe about it and it must be done in Core.
Comment 3 Jan Zajicek 2001-04-24 10:57:25 UTC
I think ui should suggest the most suitable solution and then this will be
solved in EditoSupport and windows system.

Gabo, can you add some comments or to open discussion on nbui?
Comment 6 Gabriel Tichy 2001-07-27 15:28:08 UTC
I will add the text " [read only]" after file name to editor
component name (appearing both in the title and the tab).
Comment 7 Gabriel Tichy 2001-08-01 16:53:20 UTC

Comment 10 _ tboudreau 2003-12-12 17:26:42 UTC
Reopening in relation to issue 9069 - we are perfectly capable of
indicating read-only and modified status with font color/style in the
new window system's tabbed panes. Why don't we do it?
Comment 11 mslama 2003-12-16 11:05:01 UTC
Assigning to Jano to define style/color. Tim how can TopComponent know
that its document (DataObject) is read only?
Comment 12 _ tboudreau 2003-12-16 11:11:58 UTC
Beats me, but somebody supplies the title - somebody appends the text
"[read-only]". Whoever does that could just as easily use HTML.
Comment 13 mslama 2003-12-16 11:14:51 UTC
Gabriel please could you tell us where do you add text '[read only]'?
BTW it is good practice to add what/where you changed. (For example
you can see issue #9069. Thanks.
Comment 14 _ tboudreau 2004-04-20 09:36:18 UTC
Now easily doable with HTML
Comment 15 Jan Chalupa 2004-11-01 16:56:32 UTC
Re-assigning Tim's issues to Dafe.
Comment 16 David Simonek 2005-04-28 15:59:33 UTC
Similar issue to 58049, should be solved as a whole. Passing to HIEs as 58049,
please approve and return back (together with 58049).
Comment 17 Ondrej Langr 2009-07-23 11:02:47 UTC
An old issue, closing as WONTFIX, colors now carry the meaning of versioning statuses ..
