Description brihaye 2004-04-25 20:02:34 UTC
If a valid character in the editor Window is
incompatible with source file encoding, an error
should be raised when the file is saved.

It would also be nice if such "invalid"
characters were visually marked in the GUI (a
dedicated color ?).

See http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?
msgId=738966&listName=nbusers for a more detailed
rationale.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
