Running Netbeans 3.6 rc1 on fedora core1 with gnome or kde desktops. Whe I switch desktops all the open windows (output, project, editor etc) become minimized and I have to manually restore them on returning to that desktop. If I revert to the 3.6 beta version this behavior is not observed. It is not related to any of my settings because If I rename my .netbeans dir and restart netbeans and select multile window mode, the problem reoccurs. Using j2sdk1.4.2_04-b05 from sun. Tried 1.4.2_03, same result.
Looking at this some more. I installed a blank Fedora core 1 system, and did this test and did not see the defect. The system with the defect has KDE 3.2.1 installed and some of the library upgrades involved with that upgrade may have something to do with it. If I run one of my own swing apps with multiple windows I do not see this problem. I will have to go to single window mode for the time being. If anyone at netbeans knows how I can collect some more pertinent info on this drop me a note and I will be happy to do so, but shor of running netbeans in a deubgger I don't know how to persue this for now. wendell nichols
Milos, something you already fixed?
I think it's a duplicate of 41163, fixed in trunk, not in 3.6 however. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 41163 ***
