[ BUILD # : 200402251620 ] [ JDK VERSION : J2SE 1.4.2_02 ] In the new windowing system, maximizing the form editor is of limited usefulness because the inspector, component properties, and palette are not maximized along with it. In addition, any of those three can be maximized by itself, which is even less useful.
Reassigning.
This is rather a window system issue - it does not allow to implement something like this.
window system is based on the UI spec. Sending to ui team for comments.
IMHO effectively fixed in 4.0 - just make most windows autohide, but not the palette window etc. Then the form window will take up most of the screen but the palette etc. will still be visible.

Marked as closed. It's too old and the Windows behaviours are same like is desired in UI specs.
