Over the past few weeks I have noticed on a number of occasions that the red error line that appears under mistakes in the code persists after the mistake has been fixed and the code built.

I shall try to find a repeatable case.

If there were no exceptions thrown (this should be addressed by issue
39718) then I think that this should be evaluated by java module as
IIRC recently there were some changes made regarding this.
