Description Petr Jiricka 2004-01-09 18:14:44 UTC
I was expecting that the JDK javadoc will be
mounted automatically in the IDE, but it's not. My
JDK is installed at E:\j2sdk1.4.2_01, the IDE
writes the following as the Java home in the log file:

Java Home = E:\j2sdk1.4.2_01\jre

My JDK documentation is at
E:\j2sdk1.4.2_01\docs\api\index.html

The IDE does not mount the Javadoc automatically.

JDK javadoc is not mounted automatically and never was. There is no standard way
how to locate JDK javadoc since it is available as separate download.
Comment 2 Petr Jiricka 2004-03-01 11:17:04 UTC
I see. I thought that the normal location for Javadoc is
$JDK_HOME/docs, and that we attempted to mount it somehow. It may be
just me who puts it under $JDK_HOME/docs. BTW, do you have any user
data regarding where users usually put the Javadoc?

[batch] Giving up javadoc issues exclusive ownership.
Comment 4 _ rkubacki 2004-11-22 19:35:28 UTC
Tomas is wrong. See the duplicate that we made an attempt to locate
the documentation in past.
