[Nb build 200310150100, jdk1.4.1]  
  
Steps to reproduce:  
--------------------------  
1) start IDE with  
-J-Dnetbeans.debug.exceptions=true option and 
empty userdir (or remove connection into PointBase 
sample database before it).  
  
IDE throws ClassCastException and 
DatabaseException exceptions and the sample 
connection doesn't appear. 
 
The sample connection appears after restar.

Cannot reproduce. Closing as WORKSFORME. It was probably fixed by
changes related to the recent driver registration changes.
