[nb_dev](20030902), [jdk1.5.0](b17) Steps to reproduce: - run IDE - create new JFrame - add some components (I have tried to add all components from Component Palette) -> NullPointerException rises(see attachment) It isn't reproducible on [jdk1.4.2_01] .

Cannot reproduce on jdk 1.5.0 b29.
I can reproduce it easily on JDK 1.5.0 b30. Although I do not have particular steps to reproduce it happens when working with opened form (opening, clicking on it, changing properties, saving). I will attach new exc stack trace.

Still reproducible on b31.

What's the problem in this issue? Could it be fixed to 3.6, there is high number of duplicates. Thanks for evaluation.

Too many duplicates raising prio to P2.
The problem with this issue is that I cannot reproduce it at all (jdk1.5.0 b38). And the exception does not make much sense. Isn't there a certain component that starts this to happen (once added to form)?
The stack traces in duplicate issues are a bit different (same code but different line numbers). Did you check them too?
It happens to me again in 200402181900; last jdk15b2 build38. I played with the form for a while and when adding component to the form the exception apeared again-see attached ide.log

This can be reproduced better by invoking garbage collection (e.g. through the Memory toolbar). Definitely a bug in jdk - EventSetDescriptor. Will look for or file the bug report later.
JDK bug 5001842 created. There is no workaround.
