Myself and 2 friend have been using Net Beans 3.5 and 3.5.1 and have noticed that on occasions, usually after the IDE has been open for a long time, it will suddenly disappear. There are no errors, the IDE just closes, however when you reload it you may some time get errors regarding ports that were left open from the last session, mainly because we are using Tomcat.
We need more info, is something logged in ide.log file ? Please attach ide.log file and/or thred-dump, thanks in advance.

tomsimmons, thanks for ide.log file, but we still cannot find reason for dissapearing IDE. If I understand it correct, IDE itself closed after long time runned, without exception, right?
I think I have solved this one. I installed the IDE on a freshly built machine with no problems. I therefore returned to one of the machines in question and uninstalled the 4.3 version of Net Beans, version 3.5 had already been removed. I then manually cleared out all the java and netbean etc directories that are left in the user directory inside document and settings. I then did a fresh install of 3.5 and have had no problems since. I can therefore only assume that there is something left behind by the uninstall process of 3.4 that upsets 3.5

Hello everyone! Have the same problem. IDE disappears from time to time without releasing the port number used by the web server. I'm ror developer so I'm using netbeans all the time. Cannot specify steps to reproduce the problem but I noticed that it happens in debug mode when running tests or something heavy on the server side (heavy i mean too much logic or calculations) My friend has the same problem.
Are you doing something about this bug? It's making me crazy for all day long!
