Description Ken Frank 2003-08-21 23:41:25 UTC
This may be same as 35710 but not sure so filing
this; let me know if same and I'll close as dup.

Was using Rainier based on netbeans 3.5.1 with
fontsize fixes applied. Using pseudo localized.

Steps to Reproduce : (Refer to fig
explorercrush.gif

Invoke the ide using fontsize 16 > click on the
Analyzing tab > it
 is observed
that label "Explorer Filesystems" gets crushed and
also the window
needs to be resized for the label to appear
completely.

Like 35710 it was thought that since all windows
are joined together, that its the netbeans wmgr
operations controlling this vs wmgr of OS,
and that in this case all of the window title
would appear.

Also, many window titles also show additional
information like name of file or other status,
besides just name of the window, so in these
cases valuable information might not be seen
without needing to resize.

Assigning to Dafe. AFAIK defined size of window (its width) has no
connection with title font size ie. width of title bar label. Current
default layout is optimized for default font size. If localized IDE
has different default font size IDE desktop layout should be adjusted.

Planned for promo-D.
Comment 4 Milos Kleint 2004-08-13 07:50:30 UTC
I believe it's fixed now, see #35710 for details.
Comment 5 Marian Mirilovic 2005-12-20 15:51:55 UTC
This issue was solved long time ago. Because nobody has reopened it neither
added comments, we are verifying/closing it now.
If you are still able to reproduce the problem, please reopen. Thanks in advance.
