Moreover 1.5.1 docs cannot be installed due to
unsatisfied dependencies.

On AU for which version? The Ant 1.5.3 upgrade is not available for
3.5 at all AFAIK, only for dev. If you are talking about the 3.5 AU,
please make this block issue #33098.

Which missing dependencies?

Issue #31837 has more info.

I'm running build dev-200307090100 on JDK 1.4.2 on Win XP. Netbeans AU
center contains 'Ant 1.4.1 Documentation' version 2.9 and 'Ant 1.5.1
Documentation' version 2.11. If I want to add version 2.11 I got
dependency error - see deps.png and if I add 2.9 I got another
dependency error - see deps2.png.

Beta AU doesn't contain any Ant docs. Alpha AU contains 'Ant 1.5.1
Documentation' version 2.12 which can be added for download, but it
also adds some version of ant module itself.

I don't see any deps.png/deps2.png files here, did you forget to
attach them?

Well at least part of the problem is that it seems dev daily alpha AU
is not being updated, at least not since the dev 200307070100 build.
You are running with a dev build newer than that, and an Ant Docs
module compatible with your dev build *is* available in CVS, but has
apparently not been published - despite the fact that I specifically
incremented its spec version to make sure it was published (on
2003/07/07 16:22:57). Ruda, please check whether the daily AU
publishing is broken again.

Don't plan to fix as such but would like to try a 1.6 upgrade which
would of course include docs.

Fixed as part of issue #31837: Ant 1.6.0 docs should be on AU after
next daily dev push.
