Description pfelenda 2003-05-28 13:41:46 UTC
I use search with regular expresion.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open find in files dialog and fill regular expresion
text field.( e.g. type a space character )
2) Do a search.
3) Double click to any file object in results dialog
4) Click to positions within the file

Try to remove highlighting. I try close editor, toggle
highlight search (from toolbar and shortcut Alt-Shift-H),
but without success.

It is not specified when should the highlighting go off. I suggest the
highlighting would be displayed as long as it reflects data displayed
in the Search Results dialog. I.e. it would disappear when the Search
Results dialog is closed or when a new search is invoked.
Comment 2 Marian Petras 2004-10-18 14:02:11 UTC
Bug #19208 ("regular expresion search dialog works differently than
substring search") is now fixed and the highlighting mentioned in this
bug report is no longer used.

I mark this bug as FIXED.
