steps to reproduce:
1)Start the IDE.Go to Tools->Update center.
2)log on to the update center.
3)select any module and install it.
4)you will be given 2 options. 
    a)Install and restart the IDE now
    b)Install later.
  choose option a.
5)The Autoupdater installs the new nbm and
restarts the IDE
6)The messages in the Autoupdater window does not
show multibytes in solaris and Linux but on
Windows machine it does show multibytes.

Note:
The messages do come from the Bundle file.

OS:Solaris 9 update 2
JDK:1.4.0_02
Locale:zh_CN
Build:030422

I will attach a snapshot taken in zh locale.

I'm writing release notes and wondered if developer could provide
more information on why this issue is seen on unix but not windows.

Right now I have no idea why this is happening and when. Generaly the 
localization of updater might be problematic. However I don't think
this has to be mentioned in release notes. The updater only shows the
splash screen for a little while when installing new modules.
