I can't find any way how to modify setting for
output directory where Compiled Classes target
will create its output. There is no such setting
neither in customizer nor in properties. Note that
Output directory property on Output node is
different from this one.

Yes, this setting is missing. Should be fixed for 4.0.

this is included in the spec.
