I opened 27MB large plain text file document in
IDE and after I modified it the Save action was
still disabled.

Petr is responsible for the text package now.

I tried to reproduce the problem with as big file as the IDE was able
to open and as long as I've opened the file, the save enable
functionality worked correctly. It is possible you've strethed it a
bit more towards limits and OOME happened during modification, but in
that case, I'd close the issue as wontfix anyway.
