[dev feb 11, MDI, Linux] When I start NB under JDK
1.4.0, the bottom edge of the Edit and View menus
when first posted is missing a border. Other menus
are OK. When the menu is posted for the second or
subsequent times, it looks OK.

Under JDK 1.4.1, it is a little more visible. Now
the bottom border is visible, but there is about
half a menu item's height of blank space below the
last item. Again, only when first posted - for
each affected menu individually.

What is wrong with these menus that they do not
display correctly the first time?

I am waiting long enough for the warmup tasks to
finish, I think - at least a few seconds after
main window appears. But the appearance is the
same even if I do not wait for it.
