Description willievu 2003-01-29 03:52:38 UTC
I set screen saver to password protect. When the screen saver
comes up, I enter a password to reactivate my PC. Then, NetBeans
crashes. Here is the log

ALSO, video driver failed. This is the Event log:

The driver ialmrnt5 for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck
in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the
device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware
incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any
driver updates.

I'm using Dell Optiplex GX260 with Intel video card on board.

You can try to add this into your ide.cfg ($NB_INSTALL/bin/ide.cfg) file:
"-J-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true" (without the quotes), it may help.

I think it is a JDK (or video driver) bug. NB probably cannot do
anything about this. Following JDK bug seems to be very similar. BTW:
how many monitors have you got? One or more?

Comment 2 mslama 2003-01-29 09:20:05 UTC
Apparently JDK problem. Please file bug to JDK at java.sun.com.
Comment 3 mslama 2003-01-29 09:20:42 UTC
Marking as INVALID.
Comment 4 Marian Mirilovic 2003-07-24 11:58:29 UTC
known JDK bug - verifying, closing.
