Description dnoyeB 2003-01-09 12:09:30 UTC
Select a CVS directory under filesystem, or under
project. Hit or right click and select 'Delete.'
The dialog popups up with the selection on 'Yes.'
 It should be on 'No.'

jdk 1.3.1_06
3.4.1RC1
WindowsLookAndFeel

This is perhaps one reason I lost all my files.

Issue for HIE team :
Is it right to change default button Yes -> No in the Conform delete
dialog ?
Comment 2 dnoyeB 2003-02-12 15:52:10 UTC
I'd like to ammend this. Default selection for delete dialogs, when a
Directory is selected should be no. When a single file is selected,
can remain as yes. It might be an annoyance to keep selecting yes
when you want to delete single files.

Of course, windows selects 'yes' as default no matter if its a
directory or a single file. You could leave it the way it is
considering that fact. I'm not real sure.

I am going to close this on my own for 2 reasons.

1. it would be inconsistent with how regulars windows functions.

2. I heard of someone else experiencing getting their files deleted
and it had to do with windows synchronized files and NB not getting
along and I don't think this had anything to do with it.

We had a discussion about this issue here and the score was 2:1 for
closing this issue as won't fix. However I think we all agreed that
the best would be if this action was undo-able.

Anyway, thank you for your report.

Jano is right - verifying.
