My editor won't enter curly brackets ("{}"). Nor will it paste them if I copy them if I copy 
them from another application. I use Mac OS X 10.2.2 Swedish (incl Swedish keyboard). 
Since the curly brackets aren't working, I haven't tried deploying a real working 
application.

It is known problem of Mac JDK. For workaround see for example
