This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
add wiki features to faq/howto sections so users can add documentation more easily. send module owners emails when wiki changes for their review (probably easier then writing docs on their own). ban offensive users (can still login to netbeans site, but no privilege to edit wiki pages).
Please, could you explain what is it wiki and why did you file this bug against ant module? Thanks.
A great idea, though my guess is we wont see it in SourceCast any time soon. Assigning to Collab to consider as some future enhancement. In the meantime (IMO) we need to get by with what we have - encourage users to submit docs/updates either as HTML files, patches or even by email to webmasters. We should perhaps make this clearer and better documented, eg on http://www.netbeans.org/about/community/contribute.html I will work on this. Thanks for the suggestion.
Update: I believe there is an existing request that covers this, CollabNet issue PCN11660. I've added these comments to that issue. Action Plan: Awaiting feedback from Engineering. Next Update: By 12-13-02 Thanks, Kristen
update: management is considering this request in truckee(2) action plan: monitor internal issue for updates next update: in two weeks
update: i requested an update from management about the status of internal issue pcn 11660 next update: upon response from management
I have asked engineering for an update on this wiki feature issue. I will update asap or sooner as I get a response from engineering. Thanks, Eric
Hi Jack, Looks like wiki functionality will not make the truckee 2 release. Do we want to move forward with this issue as a customization. We can have a Service Change Order written up or get the Engagement Manager involved to write up a Statement of Work. Otherwise we will have to wait to find out if/when this functionality will be available. Just let me know how we would like to proceed with this issue. Thanks, Eric
Proceed as normally, I don't know that this warrants a urgent cusomtisations ... ?
Product management moved this now to "Truckee 3". -Priya.
Updating whiteboard.
Update: Setting the status of this issue to Resolved, Fixed. The solution for this issue has a target milestone of "Truckee3". Action Plan: CollabNet support will review this issue during the upgrade to this release to confirm its resolution. If there are problems with the solution we will reopen this issue. If the solution appears to be working, we will reassign the issue to the original poster, requesting confirmation. The original poster can then set the status to "Closed" or "Reopened" if necessary. Next Update: CollabNet support will review this issue during the staging process for the next upgrade. -Priya.
Wikis haven't been incorporated yet. I am reopening this issue. Please close this back if there's an alternative already in place and issue is no longer applicable.
A wiki funtionality has been added as "Project Wiki" in the future version of CEE. I am moving this to the resolved later queue for verifying in the future.
What future version ? When ?
Jack, This functionality has been already under testing by the team in one of the future versions and planned to be introduced from that version and you will be availing this when you get upgraded to that corresponding version. This is not available in 4.5.2, but in the next versions. I have moved this to the resolved later queue as this is something been already added in CEE and will be verified in NB once we plan to upgrade NB in that version in the future. Hope this helps. - Priya
Marking as Resolved Later, Support will be reviewing the ticket when the issue is fixed in the future release.
.
Wiki has been introduced in CEE 5.0. It will be available on the site on its upgrade to the corresponding release. Marking this issue as Resolved Fixed as per CollabNet's policy. Regards, Karishma Support Operations
