best if this file can be edited by notepad testing using Dublin version of XTest
build.xml is in the correct format when checked out from CVS. When using binary distribution, then all the text files have format of the platform on which the distribution was built (usually unix). And since the binary distribution is used mostly for beginner users, there is no reason to change xtest's internals scripts in it. So if you need to edit the scripts from binary distribution, either use some other tool than notepad (netbeans works), or check out xtest sources from CVS.
Beginners should not be able to look at the file easily?
I don't think anynody working with java on several OSes should have problems with CR/LF vs LF textfiles stuff. If I would upload the binary distribution from windows, then all unix folks would have the same problem. Sorry, but I can't see any solution of this :-(.
