How to reproduce: 1) Mount CVS fs 2) Create a file 3) Add file into cvs 4) Add file into some VCS Group 5) NOTE - See status of file in VCS Group - it is "Locally Added" - this is correct 6) Delete file in the Explorer 7) ERROR - See status of file in VCS Group - it is "Needs Update" - this is incorrect - probably it should be "(broken link)"
Why should this be considered as a bug?? IMHO the bug is, that after you run CVS -> Remove on such [Needs Update] file, it correctly disappears from the Explorer, but stays in the Groups. After it disappears it should change to the Broken Link. This is likely a bug in vcscore.
So you think that broken link should be presented only in case when the node really does not exist ? Okay, I tend to agree. Just fix the problem you are pointing to ...
It's marked as "Broken Link" in 4.1. It was probably fixed somehow in the shadow data object...
