When I do a simple search in an opened file, I hear my disks working. A ptrace quickly showed that uihandler.properties was being created and written on disk by simply doing "search next" (among other things). I don't understand the purpose of this but if it's by design, it would be nice to be able to put that file (and others like it) somewhere dedicated to writing (ie: /tmp) (I've already put the cache directory on a ramdisk.) I've tried to make it read-only with disastrous results (had to switch to a text terminal and kill java)
