I can not log in cvs server of "cvs.netbeans.org", i use wincvs1.2,
use the command line "cvs -d:pserver:cvs.netbeans.org:/cvs 
login",password is Empty,bue I can not log in the server,WHY?
Can you help me ?

The login line you have here is not correct, you are 
missing a username.  Full details are at 

http://www.netbeans.org/devhome/sources/cvs.html, 

but basically try something like :

cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.netbeans.org:/cvs login

If that does not work, pls provide some more info :
- are you behind a firewall, or using a proxy ?
- what *exactly* happens, what msgs do you see ?

If the command above does work, pls close this issue.

"connection time out" means there is a problem with your
dial up connection - you are not able to reach the server.
Are you behind a firewall ?  You might need to ask your
internet service provider if they allow cvs connections.
