This issue was reported manually by stiffuser.
It already has 11 duplicates

VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM, 25.91-b14, OpenJDK Runtime Environment, 1.8.0_91-8u91-b14-0ubuntu4~14.04-b14
OS: Linux

GUEST: juct create copy of file by ctrl+drag

GUEST: Copied 5 .woff2 files from document dir to project dir via the projects pane in Netbeans (by pressing CTRL while dragging the files to the window)

stiffuser: Selected a range of files in the project view

GUEST: Did a refactor and pressed cancel.

GUEST: i was moving my files from explorator into nebeans.

GUEST: its getting wvery slow

GUEST: Try to select Joomla!'s 28 files and mark as ignore in GIT

GUEST: Closed all open source files, the system just hung for al long time after

GUEST: Initializing NetBeans.

GUEST: I selected a file in a subdirectory of the source files, shift-selected 160 files and it froze there for about 6 seconds, highlighted them, and froze for another 6 seconds.
