I am using Netbeans8.2 on Windows10 on a Surface Pro 4.
It freezes after a few minutes of usage. I have to open task manager and kill the process. After restarting it freezes / becomes unresponsive again. 
I using it with jdk1.8.0_111.

This problem comes and goes after several years and back to 8.0. Killing the process is the only way out launch again, and again, and it eventually gets everything loaded. Is there no way to fix? Would NB 10 be better?
