When you go to voluntary assign yourself to a test spec, you must go changing version down until you find the test you want to get. Or you must first go to Test Specifications list to see which is the last version for the test you want.. 

May be the test specification name combobox could be placed first in the form, so you first select the spec, and then you select the version in the version combobox, which only will show the versions available for the test you have selected.
