The letter-only "Quick brown fox..." in the Options/Editor/Fonts selector gives no idea of what the numbers would look like, i.e

1 versus l versus I
O versus 0

etc which is kind of important for a developer, do you agree?

The text should contain simply all letters both uppercase and lowercase, all digits and all special characters. Just copy/paste from this ticket:
