You seem to have NB 8.1 final so what update? Which modules have been updated?

> the xdebug breakpoint can no longer be applied to a tpl template files

What file exactly? Can you attach a sample file? What it means exactly "breakpoint can no longer be applied" - cannot be set? Is not hit?

Can you please clarify these steps? No idea what I should try.

But please, first of all, try a clean userdir [1] to verify that the problem is somewhere else.

Simply reopen this issue and provide your feedback, thanks.
