I had a file of unrecognized type in a mounted folder. I double-clicked on it and, without thinking, hit OK on the "Treat file ... as text?" dialog that appeared. However, there now doesn't appear to be any way to convert it back without editing/deleting the .nbattrs file by hand. It would be nice if there was a "Don't treat as Text" option on the context menu instead, that removed the .nbattrs file entry. Obviously, for files recognized as Textual Objects due to their extension or MIME type being in the Object Types settings this shouldn't appear.
Target milestone was changed from '3.4' to TBD.
Would it be somehow handled by newer data systems impl?
Sorry that it took so long - but isn't Tools --> Convert to default what you are looking for? Marking as invalid. To David: yes these two actions will be no longer needed in the new datasystem impl.
