This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 242126, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related. Build: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201505190001) VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, 25.25-b02, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment, 1.8.0_25-b17 OS: Mac OS X User Comments: rweaver: Very slow after update of PHP file Maximum slowness yet reported was 20889 ms, average is 20889

two more snapshots on the slowness reported with this bug. A couple of observations: --After the period of complete unresponsiveness the IDE returns to normal responses. --The slowness starts when clicking on a file to open it in the editor. Scrolling etc. does not trigger it. --The projects open in NB at that time contain over 1000 files. --Slowness only started to be cumbersome after some time (>2h) of using the IDE.

No any update? Is there somebody working on this? This is really a big issue now, I have to restart NetBeans many time every day.
Right click in Projects area sometimes freeze the IDE. Using Metal Look And Feel cannot reproduce this problem, may a MAC skin bug.
