Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201505210001) Java: 1.8.0_45; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.45-b02 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_45-b14 System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb) User directory: C:\dev\Netbeans\user\dev Cache directory: C:\dev\Netbeans\cache\dev This feature broke sometime in the past week. Repro steps: 1. Open Netbeans 2. Open any file in editor. 3. Hit SHIFT+ESC to maximize window. This will work for a few seconds after Netbeans launches but around 10-15 seconds later it will stop working (clicking the keys will do nothing). By contrast, CTRL+ESC continues working for other components, like the Projects or Output tabs.
reprducible, it seems to be problem of editor, shift-esc works well in other components (navigator, output ....)
I am sorry I introduced this bug by fixing Bug #252314, I already revert my change, so in the most recent dev build Shift + Esc should work.
In my env I have this bug too Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101) Updates: NetBeans IDE is updated to version NetBeans 8.2 Patch 1 Java: 1.8.0_121; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.121-b13 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_121-b13 System: Windows 8.1 version 6.3 running on amd64; Cp1252; it_IT (nb)
I cannot reproduce this anymore. Can you describe your problem? Can you attach messages.log?
I can no longer reproduce this problem, so I guess it's up to r.gambelli@netbeans.org to provide messages.log if they still have this problem.
I don't believe messages.log can help you, anyway tell me what should I do: should I clean messages.log, start NetBeans, open one editor and click some times shift+esc? and then attach here my messages.log?
I can see if you have third-party plugins, or investigate why shift+esc doesn't work. It works for me. I can open file, I can have open down output window and by pressing shift+esc and output window is minimized and editor is from top to bottom
Thanks Milutin, could you answer to my question in my previous comment?
Yes, that would be nice to do, just open netbeans, try shift+esc few times and send messages.log. It would be great if you attach screenshot and some description what do you expect and what happens.
