Add "Properties" to the main File menu.

"Properties" is only available in the context menu in Projects, Files and Favorites, but this does not help if the file is ad-hoc and not part of a project.

There's menu Window - IDE Tools - Properties which opens a new window that shows the properties of currently selected node(s).
