I was getting this editor freezing when renaming a variable.
It could have been caused by previous computer crash.
Had to wipe out Cache folder to recover.

Here is my original report:

Lately I started to experience NetBeans freezing.

For example, I start to rename a variable, and it stop responding to the key I press on the keyboard.

Usually it continues after several seconds of wait. But sometimes (like right now) it dies completely.

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.0.1 (Build 201408251540)
Java: 1.8.0_20; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.20-b23
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_20-b26
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1251; en_US (nb)

Alexander, it cannot be reproduced by us in 8.0.2 or in Dev builds. If you can still reproduce it then reopen the bug.
